We cull the following humorous report of Wishaw Police Court from the Clydesdale News: —■" & Duet.—John Campbell, Branchal Road, and his wife were doing a vocal duet the last week. They left 30s between them, and promised not to duet again." "A Blow.— John Nelson, Cumbusnetban, like his namesake of Trafalgar notoriety, struck a blow for bis country. His country profited by tho blow to the amount of 215." " Distinguished Visitor.— John Kelly, Newmains, paid a flying visit to Wishaw last week. We learn from private sources that Mr Kelly contributed half a guinea to one of our
public institutions." "They met 'twas in crowd.—John Brogan met another fellow opposite the Boyal Hotel. John's knuckles are skinned and the other fellow has a sore face. The other fellow lost his temper and John lost 215." " Spirit Mediums.— John Beveridge made an intoxicating beverage of himself; ss. Alexander Weir was*the picture of weariness—full length on the ground; ss. Richard Quin made one of the quinary of quintains by making a quinquangular of himself. He also paid 5."
