The Greymoutli Evening Star says : Now that the Grey River has fallen to its accustomed level, a great change in tlio channel is apparent. There is deep water at the Cobden side, and the river has shoaled considerably under the protective works. The alteration is serious in places up stream and prevents barges getting up for coal, a party was sent up yesterday to look for a channel, and until one is found our tugs are likely to be serously incommoded through want of fuel.
