The steamer Ino returned yesterday, from the Ngakawhau, leaving there about 10 a.m., and arrived in the river at 12.30, having lost some time before the entrance to the Buller could be made out, owing to the haze and heavy fall of rain. She brings down a full cargo of coal, which she is transhipping to the schooner Rose of Eden for despatch to Wanganui. The Ino found no difficulty in entering or leaving the Ngakawhau, there being this morning eight feet of water on the bar, one hour before the full tide. Her qualities as a good sea boat have been well tested on this her trial trip, and she has not proved wanting. The passengers on board weie Harbormaster Captain Leech, and Messrs Gilmer, Field, and Falla, and they are well satisfied with her as a staunch and steady craft, -well fitted for the trade she has taken up.
