BULLER ROAD BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Board was held at the Court House on Saturday, the 10th instant, present— Messrs Munro, M'Enroe, Mullan, Dunn, and Ings, (chairman). The minutes of the last meeting having been read and confirmed, the following business was transacted : Reports from the Addison's and Terrace Sub-Committees, as to works of immediate necessity, were received. The Addison's report, referring to the erection of horse bridges across the Totara and Mountain Creek, and the Terrace report, having reference to the following subjects :—The thorough repair of existing tracks ; the extension of the northern track to the extreme end of Christmas Terrace, and running parallel to the base of the same; the extension of railing at the Orawaiti Bridge; the repair of tfae Lagoon Bridge ; and the construction of a foot bridge across Deadman's Creek.
Tne extension of a branch track to Deadman's Creek, and the converting into a dray road, of the present pack track leading northward from the Junction of Giles track, and the formation of a dray road from a point on the Nine Mile Road (extension of Palmerston street), to the beginning of the road as proposed, were also referred to, as needing attention whenever the Board possessed funds sufficient to undertake such works.
Upon discussion it was proposed by Mr Muuro, seconded by Mr Mullan, and carried —
" That the undermentioned works, viz.,—The repair of Giles track ; the extension of the Northern track to end of Christmas Terrace ; tho repair of Orawaiti Lagoon bridge; the construction of a foot Bridge at jDeadman's Civek, and a horse bridge at the Totara river, be considered as requiring urgent attention, and that the Provincial Government be requested to supplement the revenues of the Board by an immediate grant sufficient to cover the cost thereof, in order that the works might be commenced aud completed before the ensuing winter season.
Proposed by Mr Dunn, seconded by Mr M'Enroe, and carried:—" That the Secretary communicate with the Charleston Koad Board, requesting co-operation in obtaining the construction of a horse bridge across the Totara river, such river being the boundary between the two districts. Proposed by Mr Mullan, seconded by Mr Munro, and carried :—That the secretary communicate with the Provincial authorities calling attention to the delay in expending the moneys granted for the construction of the road up the Mokihinui river, and urging the necessity of immediate action, in view of the approaching winter.
Proposed by Mr Munro, seconded by Mr M'Enroe, and carried :—That Messrs Dunn and Mullan be deputed to prepare specifications for works required at the Orawaiti bridge, in terms of their report, and that tenders be called for the same.
Proposed by Mr Mullan, seconded by Mr Dunn, and carried : —That the secretary request the Provincial Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for a horse Bridge across the Mountain Creek, between Addison's Flat and Shamrock Lead.

It was decided that the Chairman should communicate with the General Government relative to obtaining a share of the subsidy aunually granted to Road Boards,
The question of assessing rateable property for the purposes of the Act, was postponed until the next meeting.
The date of the next meeting was fixed for the Bth February, proximo.
