O. Lewis has accidentally killed Michael Campion with a hayfork while making hay. The deceased exonerated Lewis from all blame. An inquest has lieen held and a verdict of manslaughter recorded. HOKITIKA. Dec 2G. There were five nominations for the Superintendency Mes-rs Kennedy, White, M.H.R., Hoos, Bonar, M.L.C, and Stanton. The show of hands was in favor of Bonar. Stanton has resigned,
The poll will take place on January 2nd. A close contest is anticipated between Messrs Bonar and Kennedy.
