In the event of subscriptions perimitting, the prizes for races and sports will be increased. Rules and Regulations. No entries will be received for any <6f the raeing events except on the following terms: —That all disputes, (claims, and objections arising shall be •decided by the Stewards, or a majority •of them, such decisions in all cases to be final. The rules of the W. J. C to be adhered to. No person will be allowed to enter or run a horse' unless the latter be qualified as the 'bona fide property of a subscriber of £1 to the race fund. Entries to be sealed and sent in to the Secretary, at the Post Office Hotel, ; ■not later than 9 o'clock on the evening of the 23rd December. Letters with entries bearing .postmark of 23rd will be received. Entrance money to be enclosed with name of horse, owner, and colors. Any jockey riding except in colors entered will be fined £1 Is. Five per cent, deducted from the .-gross amount of all stakes for expenses. Horses walking over will receive 49 per cent, of the stakes. Any person entering a protest will nave to deposit £1 ; and should such protest be deemed frivolous by the; stewards will have to forfeit the same.
