For all horses beaten at the meeting. miles. Post entry of 1 sov. THIRD AND FOUETH DAYS. Monday and Tuesday, December 29th and 30th. Athletic Spoets.—Prizes to the amount of 30 sovs net, in addition to entrance fees, will be given. Programme will be issued shortly. In the event of subscriptions permitting, the prizes for races and sports will be increased. Eules and Regulations. No entries will be received for any of the raeing events except on the following terms : —That all disputes, claims, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or a majority of them, such decisions in all cases to be final. The rules of the W. J. C. to be strictly adhered to. No person will be allowed to enter or run a horse unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber of £1 to the race fund. Entries to be sealed and sent in to the Secretary, at the Post Oflice Hotel, not later than 9 o'clock on the evening of the 23rd December. Letters with entries bearing postmark of 23rd will be received. Entrance money to be enclosed with name of horse, owner, and colors. Any jockey riding except in colors entered will be fined ,£1 Is. Five per cent, deducted from the gross amount of all stakes for expenses. Horses- walking over will receivo 50 per cent, of the stakes. Any person entering a protest will have to deposit £1 ; and should such protest be deemed frivolous by the stewards will have to forfeit the same.
