Post entry of 1 sov; Town Plate of 30 sovs. Open to all horses. Distance 2 miles. ; Weight for age as in Trial Stakes. Entrance 3 sovs. Butchers' Pursk of 15 sovs. Catch weights. Duller Handicap of 40 sovs. Open to all horses. 2£ miles. Entry, 3 sovs. Eailway Stakes of 20 sovs. Handicap, 1£ miles. Open to district horses only. Entry, 2 sovs. Publican's Purse of 15 sovs. 1 mile heats. Weight for age. Entrance, £2. sovs. CONSOLATTON HANDICAP of 10 SOVS, second horse to save his stakes. For all horses beaten at the meeting. H miles. Post entry of 1 sov. , THIED AND FOURTH DAYS. Monday and Tuesday, December 29th and 30th. Athletic Sports.—Prizes to the amount of 30 sovs net, in addition to entrance fees, will be given. Programme will be issued shortly. In the event of subscriptions permitting, the prizes for races and sports will be increased. EULES AND EEGULATIONS. No entries will be received for any of the raeing events except on the following terms : —That all disputes, claims, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or a majority of them, such decisions in all cases to be final. The rules of the W. J. C. to be strictly adhered to. No person will be allowed to enter or run a horse Unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber of £1 to the race fund. Entries to be sealed and sent in to the Secretary, at the Post Office Hotel, not later than 9 o'clock on the evening of the 23rd December. Letters with entries bearing postmark of 23rd will be received. Entrance money to be enclosed with name of horse, owner, and colors. Any jockey riding except in colors entered will be fined £1 Is. Five per cent, deducted from the gross amount of all stakes for ex. penses. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. Any person entering a protest will have to deposit £1 ; and should such protest be deemed frivolous by the stewards will have to forfeit tbo same.
