THE SUPERINTENDENT.
( To the Editor of the Westport Times.) Sib, —The following is an extract from a letter received by the last mail by a gentleman in Westport from an old resident of Waimea East, Nelson :—• " I do not believe that O'Conor will get much, if any support in the Waimeas. They all like Curtis throughout the settled districts. The Irish about here will not vote for O'Conor, and we think him foolish to be wasting money on such a ' goose chase.' " I am, &c. Tbuth.
