' The Coomerang, according to present arrangements, will /arrive at Wanganui on the 3rd proximo, and'will then have immediate despatch for Westport with cattle for Seaton •and Davidson. If spring tides and good channel are favorable for entering the Ngakawhau, she will go up there and load with coal from the Albion mine. The steamer Manawatu ran ashore in the Mtuutwutu river a few days since, but was got off again on the 19th instant without much injury. The master of the schooner Jessie, on his last visit to Greymouth was fined 20s and costs for entering the port without hoisting a red flag, the vessel having a quantity of blasting powder on board. The s.s. Wanganui is now in Murray's floating dock, Port Chalmers, annd is undergoing e, thorough overhaul, both in hull and machinery. An iron screw steamer of about 70 tons burden is now being built at Kincaird, M'Qucon, and Co.'s yards in Dttnedin, for the Napier trade. Her dimensions are :—Length, Csft ; beam, 13ft; and depth of hold, s£ft. She will bo fitted with double cylinder engines of twenty horse power, and a high pressure marine boiler.
