The steamer Goahead, arriving here on Sunday morning, discharged her freight of (Cattle at the South Spit, and sailed again at •10 a.m. for Wanganui, but, according to telegraphic notice, put in at Nelson, owing to Sheavy winds prevailing ; arriving there after a smart run of some twenty hours. The p.s. Wallace, leaving Nelson at 9.15 -a.m. on Sunday, arrived here at 2 p.m. yesi terday, having encountered strong head winds off the Spit. She crossed the bar at low water.
