POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK

The New Zealand Gazettef of March 25th, publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at On isU church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akraou Ilokitika, Greymouth,' Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum is given on £2OO and under ; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on sums under £SOO ; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every complete £l deposited, provided that ho interest be allowed on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post Office Savingls Banks have duvet Government Security for the prompt repdyineVit of their money. 4. The strictest secresy is observed with respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. .» 3. A depositor in any one o'f the Post Officii Banks can continue his deposits at any other of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his removal. 6. Money may be deposited by or on be-' half of minors. Depositors over seven years of age are treated as persons of full age, but minors Under Seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of sever!. 7.
