[Anglo-Australian Press Telegraph Agency] AUCKLAND. Sept. 16. Twenty-four families and sixteen single men per ship Berar, remain unemployed. The Government have stopped their rations. The Superintendent has telegraphed remonstrating. Great complaints are made regarding the want of accommodation for immigrants. Married people are huddled together, and a lax system prevails regarding single women. WELLINGTON. September 13. In the House to-day the Premier laid on the table papers relating to the proposed San Erancisco Mail Service.
Consideration of the question has been made the order of day for tomorrow, when the House will be asked to decide whether or not the Government shall proceed against Webb to recover penalties.
