He explained the object, but as the Bill would have to bo referred to the Waste Lands Committee he did not think it necessary to say much. The second reading was carried and the Bill referred to We ste Lands Committee. The Bosstown Lands Bill and Wellington Burial Grounds Bill have beeu read a second time.

The Wanganui JJaugitifcei and Patea Shires Bill was thrown out on the second reading by 24 to 12.
