POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK

The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th, [ publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Ch> istchutch, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Tinnu'u, Akraoa ' Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston, i 1. interest at the rate of 4 per cent, per L annum is given on .£2OO and under ; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on sums under £SOO ; and in tile same proportion fot ' any shorter time on every complete £1 deposited, provided that no interest be allowed ; on more than £SOO. ; 2. Depositors in the Post Office Saving's • Hanks have direct Government Security for ; the prompt repayment of their money. 4. The strictest seeresy is observed with 5 respect to the names of depositors in Post [ Office Banks, and the amounts of their dcL posits. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any other ' of such Hanks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most con* , venient to him by giving notice of his rc- , moval. ~ 6.
