The main cabin has been refitted, repanelled, and repainted in imitation maple; the berths are roomy and comfortable, and special conveniences have been provided for female passengers. For a limited number of travellers to or from Melbourne the Lizzie Guy affords snug and comfortable accommodation.

The steamer Murray, enlarged, refitted, and in many respects nearly a new boat, will again take up her running in the West Coast trade, and may be expected in the Buller during the nest week. Adverse winds have compelled two craft to run into the Buller tor shelter. The schooner Eose of Eden, coal laden, from Little Wanganui for Wanganui; and the ketch Standard, coal laden, from Ngakawhau for Nelson, are both in port, the crews having also run short of provibions,
