THE DOG NUISANCE.
(To the Editor of the Westport Times.) Sie, —Can you inform one whether the Dog Act extends to Westport. If it does, it is time the police look some steps to stop a nuisauee which is every day on the increase viz., the numberless unregistered and useless curs which roam all day through our streets, and make night hideous with their yelling. In other towns, any unregistered dog is taken charge of by the police and if. not claimed within a certain time, is destroyed. Were this plan followed here it would be the means of ridding the community of a considerable number of mischievous, useless, animals, as well as contributing very much to the daily, and more especially nightly comfort of the inhabitants.—Tours &c, Cakis.
