The visit of his Sobor to Charleston has attracted soine little attention The Herald reports that a deputat<j n consisting of Messrs Dwan, Jontq and Haines waited upon the Superintendent in order to bring several matters of interest to the district under his notice. The deputation then withdrew* thanking his Honor for his kindness in listening to the wants expressed; and his satisfactory answers thereto. Previously a meeting had been convened by Mr George Donne, to discus* the advisability of what should W said and done on the Superintendent's I but the meeting seems to bavsH eventuated in nothing more than tali* ■ and, as the Herald says, ridicule IS instead of reason ruled the roast.
