GRAVES AND FLEMING V. STITT BROTHERS.

(To the Editor of the West-port Times.) Sib.—l orave sufficient space to make a brief reply to Graves and Fleming's letter appearing in your last issue. They say no imputations were made either by the Magistrate or my Counsel, that they had sent Robinson to my store for the purpose of examining my books. Of course there were no imputations, but ■tihere were severe comments passed, as everyone present in the Court knows full well, and although Messrs Graves and Fleming may choose to deny that they sent Robinson to my store, they still have not denied that ho went there by their "connivance, or, at least, of hisoWn accordfirst and that they were willing to make the most of the information he could impart, to bolster UP their case, afterwards. They question the truthfulness of my ledger also, but they forget that by the mere accidental circumstance of my being unable to sweesr positively to the date on which I made one entry, they virtually won the case. To Robinson's long rigmarole I shall not reply farther than to state that any employment given Mm by me, was at his request, when affairs were very bad indeed with him ; and for such work he has been re-paid tenfold,, as our present "accountin the ledger" against himself will amply testify. ° He should be the last 'to turn informer.—Yours &c, A. Stitt. [This letter must clnse 'the correspondence on this subject, as it is of no general interest. Ed. W.T.]
