Brogden's tender for Brunner Coalmine's Bailway go in on Monday. At the official <leclaration of poll today, the Mayor attributed bis defeat to national differences being imported into the election. A coach upset to-day and injured several passengers. The Cabinet to-day rejected Brogden's tender for Moeraki and Waitake line. Tenders are to be invited for the line in sections. The Independent attributes the paucity of immigration to incompetency of Eeatherston's subordinates. GRAHAMSTON. Feb. 6. Eeports from Whangamata Goldfields continue contradictory. AUCKLAND.
