GOLD AT THE FIJIS.
The 'Sydney Morning Herald' states that " there are reports of two gold discoveries in Fijis, at Bau and Kaudani, but as yet very little is known of a reliable character, of rather whether there is any gold that will pay for working ; but that specimens have been found is beyond question. That found at Bau was picked up by some children, who brought it among some ' pretty stone,' gathered near the bathing place, and showed them to their respective fathers. They were sent to Sydney for analysis, and they are rumored to be fair specimens of golden quartz. The sample from Kaudan is still richer. Prospecting parties are being organised in both
