FFRRIES.

(To the Editor of the Westport Times.) Sir—l was greatly surprised to read in your issue of today, of a complaint made concerning the management of the ferries at the Waimangaroa and Mokihinui rivers. I have been in the habit of crossing the former river several times each week for the last three years, and I am most happy to be able to contradict the assertion in every particular, as I have always met with the most unremitting kindness and attention from the present holders of the ferry, whatever other travellers may say to the contrary. —Yours &c., A.. G. Stephens. Orawaiti, Dec. 3, 1572.
