(from our own correspondents.) WELLINGTON. Nov. 23. The Governor yesterday rode over the ground in dispute between Major Kemp and other natives, and looked at the pahs. He was enthusiastically received by 1000 natives. He barrangued and advised them to settle their differences by laws. TIMAIIU. An inquest was held yesterday on tho body of M'Lean, found drowned at the Washdyke. There is no doubt death was caused by his own act. It appears he attached 72 pounds weight to his neck by flax and waded iuto deep water, where the body was found. The inquest on the other man, Geo. Blackall, was adjourned for further evidence. He apparently was accidently drowned. LTTTELTON. The Dido has sailed on a ten days cruise.
