(Before J. Giles, Esq., Warden.) Tuesday, November 5. applications. Owen Bartman and party For head water race at Deadman's, commencing from an abandoned race near Fox's lead creek, and also for dam. Both granted. Henry Richards—For tail race for ground sluicing on extended claim. Granted. Daniel Williamson—For re-registra-tion of abandoned race. Objected to by Hussey and party, claiming prior ownership. Williams said the race he applied for was different and distinct from that claimed by Hussey's party and that they sought to claim two races under the one registration, and produced plan of ground to prove his statement. Application granted. Hussey and party to prove their right by legal action. Daniel Williamson—For abandoned dam situated at the Black Ball store, Addisons. Objected to by John Landley, the authorised agent for Jno. Sleigh, the original registered ownerRefused.

Postponed for report by the surveyor. William Harrison, by Mr Fisher— For protection to claim in consequence of accident preventing carrying on of work. Granted.
Thomas Jamieson—Protection while cutting trench through leased ground No protection required. Dissolution of partnership, Wilson v. Brewer and others. Mr Fisher for plaintiff. Application for distribution of assets from partnership estate recently sold under decree from the Court. W. C. Graham and James Gralvin, claiming as shareholders in the estate, questioned the validity of certain amounts claimed as due to the plaintiff, and also to other general items. After a long and patient investigation of the accounts, the Warden made an order for a pro rata distribution among the shareholders. The estate having realised £7OO. and the charges thereon amounting to £69 2s od, the balance of £630 17s 6d was divided into fifteen shares of £42 Is 2d, each shareholder being charged with, or credited for, his personal liabilities to or claim upon the estate respectively.
