(FIIOM OtTK OWJf CORRESPONDENTS.) WELLINGTON. October 17. On discharge of the Westland County Bill, Mr Yogel intimated the Government intention to move this session that out of money allocated for Middle Island Eailways, £50,000 should be set apart for expenditure in "Westland, and £50,000 pounds on the South-"West Goldfields ; to extend over two years. The Nelson Counties Bill, after a division called for by Mr O'Conor, was rejected. The Annexation Bill ha 3 been with, drawn. The hulk of the Estimates have been passed, and much work rushed through to conclude the session early. The report of the Privilege Commitee on the case between Captain Holt and Mr Harrison, report—lst, That no proposition derogatory to a member of the Legislature had been made ; 2nd, The evidence given, while raising suspicion, was not sufficiently explicit ; 3rd, The Committee regret that Mr Harrison laid a serious charge based on a private conversation.
