QEALED TENDERS will be reO cieived at the Post Office, Westport, till the 30th September, 1872, for the conveyance of mails between the undermentioned places from the Ist January to the 31st December, 1573, both days included: — 1 Westport and Charleston Once daily 2 Westport and Addison's L'wice weekly *3 Westport, Giles Terrace, and Eochfort Twice weekly 4 Westport and Inangahua Junction Twice weekly 5 Inangahua Junction and Reefton Twice weekly *6 Inangahua Junction and Lyell Twice weekly *7 Inangahua Junction and Lyell Once weekly *8 Charleston and Brighton Once weekly 9 Post Office and vessels in river As required Services marked thus * to be terminable by Postmaster.-General on giving six weeks notice in writing. Service No. 1 may be tendered for to be performed by mail cart, and service No. 4 may be tendered for to be performed by boat. Each Tenderer will be required to give security, as provided for on the form of tender, for a sum equal to 20 per cent, on the amount of tender, binding the tenderer to take up the service tendered for and execute the j necessary contract bond in the event of his tender being accepted. Forms of tender and security, with terms and conditions of contract, mav be procured at any Post Office. No tender will be considered eligible unless made on the printed forms provided by the Department.
