POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK
The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th, publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Cli> ist church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akraoa Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. 7nterest at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum is given on £2OO and under ; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on turns under £SOO ; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every complete £1 deposited, provided that no interest be allowed on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors ia the Post Office SavingJs Banks have dujet Government Security fir the prompt repayment of their money. 4. The strictest secresy is observed with respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits.
