POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK
The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th. publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Ch' ist church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akrao'i Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum is given on £2OO and under ; at tho rate of 3 per cent, per annum on nuns under £SOO ; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every complete £1 deposited, provided that no interest be alljwcd on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors iii the Post Office Savingla Banks have dii-jct Government Security ftr the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Offic« Banks can continue his deposits at any othei of such Banks, and can withdraw his monej at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his removal, 4. Tire strictest sccresy is observed with respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits.
