Melbourne, July 4. A league has been formed to secure free unsectarian education. Mr Francis consents to the arrangement made by the previous Government for the collection of the Border duties, but would prefer their payment in a lump sum. The late European news has strengthened breadstuffs, but there is no actual advance in prices. Sugar has advanced 20s. There is a better enquiry for tea in consequence of China advices. Candles have declined. Tobacco firm. Adelaide, July 4. Wheat dull at 5s Od to 5s 9d ; flour unchanged.
