The supposed case of small-pox is officially reported to bo Maori-pox. A .deputation waited upon the Superintendent from the Thames, and protested against a proposed Orange demonstration. The, Superintendent promised to preserve peace, CHRISTCHURCH. Dr Pearson, of Akaroa, has been found dead in the bush, stark naked. At the inquest a verdict of " Died from exposure while temporary insane" was returned.
