The p.s. Wallace, from Nelson, the latest addition to the Anchor Line of steamers, came in yesterday, under command of Captain J. Dillon, whose many friends here will be glad to see him again in charge of so smart a vessel. The arrival of the Wallace attracted some attention, quite a crowd gathering at the wharf. She brought the English m lil, via San Francisco, in addition to n full cargo. The schooner Dunedin, for Havelock, and the schooner Blnckwall, for Picton, sailed out yesteiday morning across the bar, without difficulty. The Result, with cargo for Charleston put back, not being able to discharge on account of the heavy sea prevailing at Charleston.
