(Before J. Giles, Esq , E.M.) Satukbay, June 16. Maria Jennings and Lizzie Jackson, two inveterate tipplers, were fined 20s each or in default 48 hours imprisonment for being found drunk in the public streets.

Monday, June 17. Jnliet Frances.Easton v. Kate Fisher, and Fisher v Easton, Claim for £ls 4s 3d dresses supplied, and money'paid, and set off for £37, salary as barmaid and for money lent. The parties herein had held tho respective positions of employer and employee at the Commercial " Hotel" Half Ounce, filling up spare time by dancing at another house; and had, as is usual at times among ladies of their vocation, differed in opinion as to money matters. Much conflicting evidence was given as to the purchase and possession of certain silk dresses and agreement as to payment of wages. Judgment was recorded for defendant, in the case Ea3ton v. Fisher, and in Fisher v. Easton, judgment for £3 money lent. Cochrane v. Johnstone—adjourned until 2nd July for service of summons. Patterson v. Rawlings—White and Pirie v. M'Dermid, and Suisted Bros. v. Robertson. Adjourned until 22nd instant, for service of summonses. • -. WESTPOET WAEDEN'S COUET. Monday, June 17 Harrold and party v. Enricksen—Claim for 12s. lOd. alleged to be accruing to complainants from partnership transactions in mining matterß in connection with Head water-race at Giles Terrace. Nonsuit. Pearson v. Stewart—Claim for 4142 10s Damage alleged to be sustained in consequence of defendant •preventing the carrying out of a certain implied agreement for use of headwater-race and dam, at the Totara beach. Judgment for defendant with costs.
