POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK The Neio Zealand Gazette, of March 25th publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Christ church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akrinj Hokitika, Grsymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, pa annum is given on £2OO and under j at the rate of 3 per cent, pett-annum on eums under £SOO ; and in the same proportion fot any shorter time on every complete £1 deposited, provided that no interest be allowed on more than £SOO. j* 2. A depositor in auy one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any othei of such Banks, and can withdraw his monej at that Post Office Bank -which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his removal. 4. The strictest secresy is observed with ; respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on bc- : half of minors. Depositors over seven years 1 of age are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7.
