POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK I The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th. publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Christ church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akraoj Hokitika, Greyraouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, pa annum is given on £2OO and under ; at the | rate of 3 per cent, per annum on sunn I under £SOO ; and in the same proportion fot any shorter time on every complete £\ <fe. posited, provided that no interest be allowed on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors hi the Post Office Saving!! Banks have direct Government Security for the prompt repayment of their money. " 3. A deposit jr in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any othet of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his removal. 4. The strictest secresy is observed with respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on bthalf of minors. Depositors over seven years of ago are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7.
