POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK
The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25tl publishes the following resulations foi thi banks as above newly established at Ch'ist church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akraoi Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westpon and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per Cent. p<< aUnum is given on ,£2oo_and under ; at th, rate of 3 per cent, per annum on tul under £SOO ; and in the same proportion fo any shorter time on every complete £l deposited, provided that no interest be albwe on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors i& the Post Office Saving* Banks have dlvct Government Security ft the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post OfSc Banks can continue his deposits at any otlii of such Banks, and can withdraw his mone at that Post Office Bank which is most eoi venient to him by giving notice of his » moval. 4. The strictest secresv is observed wf respect to the names of "depositors in Po< Office Banks, and the amounts of their d< posits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on to half of minors. Depositors over seven yea of age are treated as persons of full ar;e, bi minors under seven years of age cannot wit] draw their deposits until they have reache the age of seven. 7.
