The Westport Times. AND CHARLESTON ARGUS. In the cause of Truth and Justice we strive. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13, 1872
In to-day's issue of the " Charleston Herald," a fictitious and somewhat sneering interpretation is put upon Mr Reeves's not visiting Charleston and Brighton on the occasion of his late hurried passage through this district. As a correction we are authorised to state that, in reply to an urgent request made by Mr O'Conor, M.H.R., the Hon Mr Reeves, the Minister of Public Works, expressed his regret that pressing engagements which called him elsewhere made it impossible for him to spare time on this occasion to visit Charleston and Brighton, but he hoped soon co have an opportunity of doing so with sufH cient time to do the place justice.
