The Westport Times. AND CHARLESTON ARGUS. In the cause of Truth and Justice we strive. SATURDAY, MARCH 2, 1872
Adapting our views to the requirements of tlie day, and yielding to pressing representations, we announce to the public that henceforth the " Westpokt Times and Charleston Argus " will he published daily. The objects to be attained by this change are both social and commercial. It is anticipated that by the publication of this paper every evening, our readers will receive it at a more seasonable hour for perusal, and it is certain that the news of the day will be placed before them much earlier than under the arrangements hitherto existing. It is also decided to reduce the charge for advertising ; the terms of subscription will not be increasedand it is our intention also to give a Supplementary Sheet evert Saturday, containing a summary of all the news of the week. Those who value a thorough advertising medium will appreciate the change as calculated to give greater publicity to their announcements by an increased circulation extending to the hearths and homes of the public. As the change is effected wiih an
earnest desire to extend the sphere of usefulness, it is hoped that our constituents and the public generally will accept it as a proof of our appreciation of the continued confidence and support so long accorded to the "Westport Times and Charleston Aug us." It is particularly requested that all advertisements be sent in to this office by foub o'clock in the afternoon. Notice of the withdrawal of any advertisement must be sent in by Eleven o'clock in the morning.
