POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK
The New Zealand Gazette, of March 2| ,< publishes the following regulations foi banks as above newly established at Ch> church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akr Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westp I and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, annum is given on £2OO and under ; at = rate of 3 per cent, per annum on m [ under £SOO ; and in the same proportion any shorter time on every complete £\ posited, provided that no interest be alfoi on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors hi the Post Office Savii Banks have duvet Government Security the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post 01 Banks can continue his deposits at any o! ' of such Banks, and can withdraw his ma at that Post Office Bank which is most c I venient to him by giving notice of his - moval. 4. The strictest secresy is observed » respect to the names of depositors in P Office Banks, and the amounts of their posits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on i half of minors. Depositors over se"ven yt of age are treated as persons of full age, minors under seven years of age Cannot wi draw their deposits until they have read " the age of seven. i 7.
