A SAD ACCIDENT.

An acccident occurred yesterday m connection with the removal of a dismsntled building belonging to Messrs Hooper.& Dodson, of Nelson. A piece of flooring, measuring about 300 feet, bad been carried into Gladstone-street, and was there reared on end, in order to turn it over with the joists uppermost. Amongst the men engaged in its removal was a carpenter named George Low, and whilst the flooring was on end, and Low under it, the wiurt caught the flooring and burled it backwards falling upon the unfortunate man. Ho was at once conveyed to the Hospital, and bis injuries examined by Dr Thoi'pe and Dr Giles, when it was found that he had sustained a compound fracture of both legs, aud contusions on the back.
