POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Chriit church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akraoi Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, pa annum is given on £2OO and under; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on *umi under £SOO ; and in the same proportion foj any shorter tune on every complete £1 deposited, provided that no interest be allowed on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors la the Post Office Savingtj Banks have direct Security foi the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any othct of such Banks, and can withdraw his monej at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his removal. 4. The strictest secresy is observed with respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts- of their de. posits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on hehalf of minors. Depositors over seven years of ago are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7.
