POST OFFICE SAVINGS' RANK The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th publishes the following regulations foi tha banks as above newly established at Christ] church, Lyttclton, Kaiapoi, Tiniaru, Akraos Hokitika, Greymauth, Waimate, Westport] and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent. p3 annum is given on .£2OO and under ; at tha' rate of 3 per cent, per annum on cuius under £SOO ; and in the same proportion any shorter time on every complete £1 de-i posited, provided that no interest bo allrwcd on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post Office Savingls Banks have duvet Gjvernment Security tS the prompt rep4yment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any other of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his removal. 4. The strictest secresy is observed with respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on bt« half of minors. Depositors over seven years of age are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7.
