IVJ"OTfCE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Government Insurance and Annuities Offices, under "The GovernAnnuities Act, 18G9," and " The New Zealand Government Insurance and Annuities Act, 1870," have been opened at the Post Offices at WESTPOBT CHARLESTON GKETMOUTII And all the principal Money Order Offices in the colony. The following advantages are secured by special provisions in tbe above1. Up to a certain amount, Assurance Policies bona fide effected by the Assured upon his own life, and Endowment Policies, and Annuities purchased for the benefit of Wife or Children, are exempted from the operation of the Bankruptcy Acts, and from seizure under legal process. 2. Up to a ceriain amount, Married Women may effect Policies, and dispose of the money assured by will, as if single ; and such Policies are free from the debtt: and control of their husbands. 3. Insurances may be effected for the benefit of wife and children, with power to apportion amount; and such insurance is to be free from the claim of creditors, to the exteut of £2OOO. All persons wishing to obtain Life Insvuances, Endowments, Annuities immediate or deferred, or other advantages under the Acts, will receive every information and the necessary forms on application at any of the above-named W. Classics. —Separate Classes for Junior and Senior Latin, Greek, and the English Language and Literature. Professor: Q-. S. Sale, M.A., late of Rugby, and formerly Fellow and Classical Lecturer, Trinity L'oiiege, uambridge. 2. Mathematics. — Separate Classes for Junior and Senior Mathematics ; Junior and Senior Natural Philosophy. Professor: John Shand, M.A., formerly First Mathematical Master in the Eoyal Academy, Gosport, England; and the Edinburgh Academy. 3. Mental and Moral Philosophy. — Classes for Logic, Mental Science, Moral Philosophy, and Political Economy. Professor: D. Macgregor, M.A., M.8., late Ferguson Scholar, ia Mental and Moral Science. 4. Natural Science. Classes for Chemistry, Mineralogy, &c, will be opened in May, 1872, Professor: J. G. Black, MA,, D.Sc, Eainburgh University. The term will last for six months continuously, during the entire course of which Instruction will bo given to each by the Professor, by means of Text Boolih, Lectures, and oral and written Examinations.
