THE LATE SESSION OF PARLIAMENT.
The days of meeting of the weneral Assembly were 52 ; the hours of sitting were 550 and 5 minutes; the hours of sitting after midnight were 06 and 35 minutes. Daily averages, 9 hours and 28 minutes. The number of questions asked of Ministers during the session was 143. There were 31 subjects on which Select Committees aat; some of them did not get through their work till the last day of the session. The Public Petition Committee had 275 petitions submitted to them, and reported on 266. The various documents sub- ; mitted to members for perusal were 536, many of them of great bulk ; besides which 129 Bills were introduced and 80 of these, many of tbem of an important character, have become law. 340 notices of motion were giving, 504 motions appeared on the order paper.
