Salt Lake, Sept. 18. The Hawkins adultery case growing out of polygamy, will be presented to the grand jury. In the impanneling to-day the three prominent Mormons summoned, Messrs Cannon, of the " Desert News," Townsend, of the Townsend House, and Clawson, son-in-law of Brigham Young, declared under oath they did not believe a polygamist guilty of adultery, and, being challenged, Chief Justice M'Kean rejected them as jurors. There was great excitement at Salt Lake, the United States Court having caused the arrest of Brigham Young and other prominent Mormons on the charge of concubinage.
