Wellington, NOV. 8. The New Tariff proposals have passed both houses of the Legislature, and come into operation on the 10th. The items are grain 9d, malt Is 6d per bushel, flour Is per 1001b, rice -£d per lb, soap (common) 3s 6d per cwt, sawn timber 2s per 100 superficial feet, shingles and laths 2s per 1000, palings 2s per 100, rails 4s per 100, posts 8s per 100.
