IENDERS arc invited by the I Colonial Government for the Construction of about Three and a Half Miles of DRAY ROAD, extending from Woolhouse Road, near Ross, to a per; numbered 270 on proposed road lino Kanieri to Kos*. The work is divided into four sections, which are. to be tendered for separately. Plans and Specifications may he seen at Survey Office, Ross, and at District Engineer's Office, llokitika, and tenders addressed to District Engineer, and labelled " Tender for Ross Road, Section No. —," will be received at the latter place up to 4< p.m. on Monday, 4th December, IS7I. Frequency each way. 1 Westport and Charleston once daily The Services to be terminable the Postmaster- General on giving six weeks' notice in writing. Each tenderer will be required to give security as provided for on the form of tender, which may be procured at any Post Office, for a sum equal to 20 per cent, on the amount of the tender, binding the tenderer to take up the service tendered for, and execute the necessary contract bond, in the event of his tender being accepted. No tender will bo considered eligible unless made on the printed form provided by the Department.
