The work is divided into four sections, which are to be tendered for separately. Plans and Specifications may be seen at Survey Office, Ross, and at District Engineer's Office, Hokitika, and tenders addressed to District Engineer, and labelled "Tender for Ross Road, Section No. —," will be received at the latter place up to 4 p.m. on Monday, 4th December, 1871. Each tenderer will be required to give security as provided for on the form of tender, which may be procured at auy Post Office, for a sum equal to 20 per cent, on the amount of the tender, binding the tenderer to take up the service tendered for, and execute the necessary contract bond, in the event of his tender being accepted. No tender will be considered eligible unless made on the printed form provided by the Department.
