POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK.

The JVeto Zealand Gazette, of March 25th, publishes the following regulations foi the bahks as above newly established at Cm ist church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timavu, Akraoa Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 pet Cent, per annum is given on £2OO arid under j at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on turns under £SOO ; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every Complete £1 deposited, provided that no interest be alLvtxd on more than £SOO. 2. A depositor in any onie of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any other of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his removal. 4. The strictest seeresy is observed with respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on be half of minors. Depositors over seVen years of age are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7. Applications to the Chief Office in each District on the business of Post Office Sav* ings Banks, ind the replies sent thereto are free fron. c.iarge or postage.
