THE FIJIS.
The Flirt, from Fiji, reports the arrival there of Mr St. Julian, Envoy to Australia and Fiji from the Hawaiian Government. The Fiji Ministry has been reconstructed, and is now entirely composed of white men. The native chiefs are being transferred to the Privy Council. The expedition assembled at the Bau river consisted of 77 settlers and 119 foreign labourers. Ratukiui promised to join them with 400 Fijimen, but sent excuses at the last moment for not doing so. Nevertheless, 60 of the settlers resolved to act without him, and the result is looked for anxiously. The Messrs Bell (2) and Mr Ross, of Sydney, who had lately settled at Tanna as planters, have been murdered. A vessel chartered by Mr W. H. Webb is visiting the Navigator, Friendly, and Fiji Isl&nds, to select a port of call for his steamers.
