PURSUANT to the Provisions .of " The Education Act, 1563," the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the Annual RATE imposed by the said Act upon all Householders residing within the Educational Districts, will be LEVIED on TUESDAY, the Ist day of August; and that the same will be received between the hours of Ten a.m. and Four p.m., •namely— School-house, Stoke, by E. Dresswell Agricultural _ Hall, Waimea East, by William Steer School-house, Waimea West, by George Walker School-house, Riwaka, by E. P. Pattie House of G. Taylor, Takaka, by G, Taylor. Police Station, Collingwood, by John Fisher Court-house, Cobden, by S. G. Rowley Court-house, Westport, by the Sergeant of Police, W. A. Kiely School-house, Motupiko, by George Flowor School-house, Dovedale, by Job Best The aforesaid Act requires that; "" every Householder iu each Educa-' "tional District shall pay annually Twenty Shillings, and a further sum of Five Shillings for every child of such Householder between the ages of five and fourteen years: Provided always, that no person shall bo liable to pay for more than four children, nor for any child residing more than three miles from any school established under this Act; nor for any child any school not established under this Act, in respect of whom s>uoh persons shall produce to the Collector a certificate signed by the teacher of such school, showing that such child has attended during the three-months previous to the levying the rate." • ALFRED GREENFIELD, '„ Provincial Secretary,
